Handbags rummaged
Pockets emptied
Smokers huddle
Chatting
Mumbling
Valiantly shivering
Cupped fingers
Butane flare
Laughing softly
Stamping feet
Their
Sacred courtyard

"Afternoon delight" - Ron Burgundy & the channel 4 news team ( The Anchorman: the Legend of Ron Burgundy)
Set in the early 70's...The Channel 4 News team and Legendary Anchorman Ron Burgundy (a macho, mustachioed bachelor with a penchant for scotch and an unmatched passion for the jazz flute) perform a hilarious version of "Afternoon delight".
Inspired by a special dish (The Afternoon Delight) served in a restaurant called "Clyde's" in Washington D.C.
According to the songwriter, it was a plate of "shrimp with Brie and almonds"... One of the reasons "fishing" is mentioned so frequently, along with the double entendre of noon-time nookie ... Must be one hell of a dish!

Dropped within me,
my helpless heart;
my head’s vile hiss,
of causeless wrongs;
my holiest dreams,
yielding...
sadly depart;
no sign or knock,
to fuel their songs.
"if light should flower:or laughing sparkle from
the shut house(around and around
which a poor wind will roam" - supposing i dreamed this)... (IX) - by e.e. cummings
