quilting

"Quilting": A generic term for the process of making a Quilt from beginning to end. Or the actual act of sewing the layers of a quilt together, either by hand or by machine.

Also refers to the finished lines of sewn thread that make up the quilting design. The small, running stitches made through the layers of a quilt -- top, batting and backing -- to form decorative patterns on the surface of the quilt and to hold the layers together.

Something along with mosaicing that I've always wanted to learn. I think that quilting is beautiful and I love the idea of fitting pieces together. The photos are great.

Im only a novice quilter. My favourite part of the process is quilting all the fabric and batting together (I love it!).
I would love to master the art of mosaic too. I tried once to create my own pattern on my bathroom wall...with disasterous (and hilarious) results lolol.

Quilting is my joy. Can you believe that the blue and white quilt will one day belong to me. In celebration of sixty years on this planet, my friends created it for me. What joy! Quilters make better comforters!
