Si monumentum requiris, circumspice... (If you seek (his) monument look around you)

Leaning lamp eyes groan

rapturous insects
hover-
lewd fierce squirming clouds
out of the malignant dark

beneath the fetid glow
a pile
a shape

smokey
rumpled
rags
crumpled dumped
those
steely lean eyes
now satedly snoozing
under
crispy
quarrelsome
newspapers

the
jarring
percussion
of
brown bagged bottles
ended...
sentinels...
their
mouths
now
an empty
o

leaning lamp eyes groan

rapturous insects
hover-
lewd fierce squirming clouds
out of the malignant dark

I love the sounds - you just have to read this poem aloud (despite my complaining boss at the next desk)
